Call for Personnel Preparation Committee Members
The DEC Personnel Preparation Committee (PPC) is recruiting up to two members (one professional, one doctoral student). To prioritize the needs and experiences of all children with disabilities, families, and practitioners who serve them, we seek members with background, experience, and/or interest in growing your expertise and leadership in one or more of the following areas: Personnel preparation (including preservice and/or professional development [PD, includes inservice]), anti-racist and anti-ableist personnel preparation practices, and implementation of the Initial Practice-Based Professional Standards for Early Interventionists and Early Childhood Special Educators (EI/ECSE) and DEC's Recommended Practices in personnel preparation.
Members representative of the diversity of DEC’s membership, including race, ethnicity, religion, gender, national origin, age, and disability, are encouraged to apply. We also encourage diversity across roles including family members, doctoral students, technical assistance (TA) providers, PD providers, and higher education faculty.
