Call for Input: DEC/ITCA Joint Position Statement on Service Coordination in Early Intervention

Members from the Division for Early Childhood (DEC) of the Council for Exception Children and IDEA Infant Toddler Coordinators Association (ITCA), along with key stakeholders, have developed a Joint Position Statement on Service Coordination in Early Intervention. The purpose of the joint position statement is to elevate the role of Service Coordination in early intervention by describing the beliefs, expertise, roles, and responsibilities of high quality Service Coordinators. The position statement includes recommendations to consider in order to support Service Coordinators to provide the highest quality services.

We are accepting community feedback about the joint position statement until June 10th, 2020 at 11:59 PM Eastern Time. Please feel free to share this survey with others who may be interested or have expertise in Service Coordination.

On behalf of the development team, we thank you in advance for your input. All input will be reviewed and considered in developing the final draft of the joint position statement. We look forward to unveiling the final joint position statement at the 2020 DEC Conference in Minneapolis, MN!
