Today the U.S. Senate passed the budget bill 51-50 with Vice President Vance casting the tie-breaking vote.
The Senate added even more harmful provisions to the bill including:
Increased funding for family separation and detention for immigrant families creating short term and long term trauma for children and their families.
New bureaucratic hurdles causing states to pay more for Medicaid and SNAP. The number of individuals living without health insurance will jump to levels higher than those before the Affordable Care Act.
Cuts of $930 billion to Medicaid which are even deeper than the cuts in the House version of the bill.
Now is not the time to give up. Now is the time to fight harder.
The bill now goes back to the House. Reach out to your house members TODAY and tell them to vote NO!
