A Message from DEC Partner ZERO TO THREE

Do you know a family who can help their Members of Congress understand what it’s like raising babies and toddlers in 2022? Then we need your help! While we made progress for babies in 2021, without further action from Congress, they will continue to be left behind. That’s why ZERO TO THREE is again connecting babies and families to Congress through Strolling Thunder™, an event that brings national attention to what babies need to thrive. This year, ZERO TO THREE will host a virtual Strolling Thunder on May 17. We will connect a parent or guardian and their child under the age of 3 from every state and the District of Columbia with their Members of Congress for virtual conversations about their experience raising young children and what they need to support their baby’s healthy development. For more information and the interest form, visit thinkbabies.org/strollingthunder. No prior experience is necessary! We are looking for families who see themselves as advocates – whether that means speaking up for their child’s needs or contacting an elected official about an issue important to their family. ZERO TO THREE will provide selected families with training and support for their online meetings with their Members of Congress. Completed interest forms are due on February 25.
