Oppose Cuts to Essential Education Programs
House appropriators will vote Wednesday, July 10, on a proposal that includes significant cuts to essential education programs, including Title I, teacher professional development, and school-based mental health services, and eliminates gifted and talented education. Additionally, the proposal flat-funds most special education programs, with only a marginal increase in grants for state programs.
We urge you to voice your concerns about this proposal and call on lawmakers to increase education and mental health support funding. Take Action Now.
