DEC Leadership Series: Dare to Lead Book Study

- 2 min read
Courageous leadership is not about having all the answers. It is about showing up with curiosity, clarity, and the willingness to have the conversations that move people and organizations forward.
Join fellow DEC members for an eight-session leadership book study centered on Brené Brown’s Dare to Lead: Brave Work. Tough Conversations. Whole Hearts. Together, participants will explore practical ideas for building trust, navigating difficult conversations, recognizing the stories that shape our reactions, and leading with greater courage and authenticity.
Each one-hour session will create space for reflection, facilitated discussion, and connection with peers. Participants will be invited to consider how the book’s concepts apply to their own leadership practice and professional context. Whether you lead a team, a project, a partnership, or change from wherever you sit, this series offers a supportive setting to strengthen the skills that brave leadership requires. The series is facilitated by Kerri Kannengieser, Hsiu-Wen Yang, Shameka Brown, and LaShorage Shaffer and is available exclusively to DEC members. Join us for the online events and the October 29th event at the DEC2026 Conference in Omaha, Nebraska - www.decconference.org - Additional in-person meeting details will be posted on the DEC conference app this fall. | Event Details Events start at 6:00 PM Eastern Time unless otherwise noted.
