DEC Board Nomination and Elections Update

As part of DEC’s ongoing governance review, we have paused board elections to ensure that future leadership/nomination decisions are aligned with any recommended changes to our structure, bylaws, and decision-making processes as aligned with the DEC Racial Equity Point of View/Theory of Change. This pause enables us to thoughtfully complete the review and strengthen DEC's governance model to better reflect our evolving strategy and the needs of our members. We are working with consultants at the Association Management Center (AMC) Consulting to identify best available solutions for our association as aligned with experience of associations across the country. 

We recognize that transparent and timely leadership transitions are important to our members. We will continue to provide updates on the review process, including key milestones and next steps, as they become available.
