DEC needs your help TODAY to advocate for IDEA Part D funding that could address the special educator and early interventionists shortage crisis we are all experiencing. Congress is working on a reconciliation package that would include $900 million for Part D Personnel Preparation which prepares new special educators, early interventionists, and specialized instructional support personnel, replenishing the workforce. This investment could fully address the growing shortages over the next 10 years. As part of the broader $9 billion educator pipeline investment proposed in the American Families Plan, these funds are critical to children with disabilities, their families and providers.
