Special Education Legislative Summit 2019 - DEC Members, Join Us!
CEC is preparing for the 2019 Special Education Legislative Summit in Washington, DC at the Marriott Gateway Crystal City, July 7-10, 2019. In preparation for the legislative summit, CEC has asked members to take a very brief survey in which you identify your top five policy priority issues. CEC will use the results to help them identify topics for issue briefs and legislative recommendations that summit attendees will share with their congressional representatives during their visits to the Hill. The survey will be open until March 5, 2019.
The DEC Policy and Advocacy Committee members highly encourage you to attend this exhilarating advocacy event. Advocacy is at the core of DEC’s mission, and advocacy defines what we do through our work with young children (0-8) who have or are at risk for developmental delays and disabilities and their families. CEC’s Legislative Summit provides us with an opportunity to join together, meet with congressional representatives, and have our voices heard on issues that are important to young children, their families, and our field.
