5 CENTS MAKES SENSE: A campaign for underfunded IDEA Preschool and Infant & Toddler Grants

Help DEC support the “5 Cents Makes Sense” campaign as we work with the Committee for Education Funding (CEF), a coalition of education associations that includes CEC and DEC, to provide a strong and unified voice to support an increase in the federal investment in education.

Did you know the number of preschoolers, infants and toddlers with disabilities served under Part B section 619 and Part C of IDEA has significantly increased over the past 25 years while the IDEA federal allocation has decreased? That means we continue to serve more children with less funding per child, and it is time for this to change.

Contact your members of Congress and tell them infants, toddlers, and preschoolers can’t wait. Take a moment and go to CEC’s Legislative Action Center to send a pre-written letter, it is quick and easy, and your voices will help!
