DEC Response to ED Regulation Reform

DEC has reviewed the work of the Department of Education as they update current policy and guidance documents and rescind those no longer relevant or needed and we agree that the ones proposed to be rescinded are no longer useful. DEC strongly believes that much of the regulations and guidance still in place are essential to ensuring high-quality services to children and families and should not be removed. We will continue to watch carefully as any additional changes are announced to guarantee high-quality services remain intact.
