Call for Comments on U.S. Department of Education Regulations – Deadline is August 21

The Department of Education issued a call for comments associated with the government wide review of all regulations. DEC Policy and Advocacy Council leadership commented on the IDEA regulations. The DEC position is that 1) regulations are necessary and helpful, 2) this regulation review is out of the ordinary sequence of events (i.e. regulations come after reauthorization, not before) and therefore, there should be no change to the regulations at this time.
