Call for Early Career Faculty in Early Childhood and Early Childhood Special Education

Perceptions of Early Childhood Faculty: How Were We Prepared to Teach in Higher Education?

Please consider assisting Drs. Laura McCorkle, Megan Purcell, Christine Spence, and Lindsay Diamond in identifying early childhood or early childhood special education faculty members who have completed their doctoral degree within the past five years to participate in this study. Participants will share their perceptions about support and resources they received in their doctoral program as they taught and/or supervised students/teacher candidates in higher education. Participants will be asked to complete an online survey which takes approximately 15 minutes to complete. The first 60 participants who complete this survey will receive a $25 Amazon gift card.

Participants should have completed their doctoral degree in early childhood, special education, early childhood special education, or a related field between 2017-2022. Participants in this study should also be currently employed full-time at a four-year institution, and teach courses related to working with and/or providing services for children Birth through age 8 with or at-risk for developmental delays and disabilities.
