Subdivision Support

Subdivision support ensures that all state subdivisions know they are a vital part of DEC. This includes recruitment and development of new subdivisions, as well as structure for subdivision development by providing guidance to subdivision leaders. Current and future work includes a focus on undergraduate and graduate student subdivision chapters in institutes of higher education, teaming across subdivisions, and collaboration between subdivisions to other DEC work, such as Families, Policy & Advocacy, and Leadership Development.

 Subdivision Resources:

Subdivision annual reports and action plans are valuable communication tools to determine strengths and needs of subdivisions.

Interested in starting a state subdivision? Guidebook contents include helpful information, such as information about subdivision responsibilities (meetings, membership, etc.) and a checklist for organizing a new subdivision.
