Power to the Profession Decision Cycle 3, 4, and 5 Roll Out Update

Dear DEC Community Members,

Welcome to the next step in defining and advancing a unified early childhood education profession! As a DEC member who is absolutely a member of this profession, we invite you to be active in this next step and all that follow!

DEC is proud to join with our partners on the Power to the Profession Task Force to share our hopes for the structure of the future early childhood education profession. The recommendations for this set of Decision Cycles (3-4-5) are designed to transform the complex and heavily fragmented early childhood field as it exists today into a coherent profession in the future.

You are the most important part of this conversation and your perspective is extremely valuable. I hope you will take time to read, reflect, and discuss the draft with your colleagues. Once you have had time to think about the proposed recommendations and how they might impact your work, you are invited to complete this survey to share your thoughts. Be sure to get your recommendations to us by the end of April so they can be shared at the next Task Force meeting. Be sure to identify yourself as a DEC member!
