IDEA Legacy Content Will Move to New and Improved IDEA Website
As you might have heard, the U.S. Department of Education has announced it is making changes to the current structure of the Department website and web pages, including where guidance and materials related to IDEA information will be located. Information currently housed on the IDEA.ed.gov Building the Legacy 2004 site will be moved to the Department’s website effective April 30th. DEC is an active participant in stakeholder conversations with staff at the Department of Education and it is our understanding that the planned changes will improve security and accessibility while ensuring all current IDEA information remains available online. DEC shares the Department’s goal of making materials accessible to professionals and families. We continue to be committed to ensuring that important IDEA information and resources remain available and will share information about these changes through our various communication channels as it becomes available.
