Three Days of Action for Home Visiting begins Tuesday, October 24th

Join DEC and other members of the Home Visiting Coalition in calling, tweeting, and emailing your Senators and Congressmen to STOP their inaction which allowed funding to expire two weeks ago for the Maternal, Infant, and Early Childhood Home Visiting Program (MIECHV). We need to make sure we keep up the pressure on Congress to pass bipartisan legislation that reauthorizes federal funding for home visiting for five years without a harmful state match.

Ask your Members of Congress to #RenewMIECHV!

On Tuesday, October 24 – CALL your members of Congress. You can look up your senators here and your representative here. It’s also important to make calls to leadership in both the House and Senate. You can find talking points for discussing the expiration and reauthorization of MIECHV, and a script and tips here provided by the Home Visiting Coalition.

On Wednesday, October 25 – TWEET, TWEET, and TWEET some more. You can look up Twitter handles of Senators here and Representatives here. Sample tweets and graphics to share are available here provided by the Home Visiting Coalition

On Thursday, October 26 – EMAIL your senators and representatives. You can look up your Senators here and Representatives here. To make it easy, the Home Visiting Coalition provides a template email here for you to use.
