Call for Doctoral Student Reviewers DEC’s Young Exceptional Children (YEC) journal is continuing our tradition of supporting doctoral students with opportunities to serve as journal reviewers. This experience will prepare doctoral students to engage in meaningful and respectful reviews of submissions to YEC. Through mentorship from current YEC reviewers, doctoral Students will learn to critically evaluate manuscripts, write informative reviews for editors and authors, and make recommendations for publication. Three Days of Action for Home Visiting begins Tuesday, October 24th

Join DEC and other members of the Home Visiting Coalition in calling, tweeting, and emailing your Senators and Congressmen to STOP their inaction which allowed funding to expire two weeks ago for the Maternal, Infant, and Early Childhood Home Visiting Program (MIECHV). We need to make sure we keep up the pressure on Congress to pass bipartisan legislation that reauthorizes federal funding for home visiting for five years without a harmful state match. Ask your Members of Congress to #RenewMIECHV! On Tuesday, October 24 – CALL your members of Congress. You can look up your senators here and your representative here.
