The Division for Early Childhood's Annual International Conference on Young Children with Disabilities and Their Families is the flagship of our professional development opportunities.
Each year, the Division for Early Childhood brings together a passionate group of dedicated individuals who work with or on behalf of young children (0-8) with disabilities and other special needs and their families. Leading experts will gather from all over the world to unite with other participants and attendees who are intimately invested in early intervention and early childhood special education. This is a tremendous opportunity for making connections with peers. Time is set aside for conversation and collaboration during breaks and often during sessions.
The Division for Early Childhood, in partnership with DEC subdivisions, offers smaller, regional institutes to different areas of the country. DEC Institutes feature nationally recognized speakers from the fields of Early Intervention and Early Childhood Special Education delivering dynamic and current messages.
These institutes are designed to strengthen participant's knowledge on intentionally chosen topics and critically relevant issues. The target audience includes early interventionists, early childhood special educators, related disciplines, and families of children (birth to age 8) with disabilities and other special needs.
With DEC Institutes, we bring the knowledge, the training, and the experts to YOU!
