...because it matters.

We believe because it matters. We believe it matters that young children learn alongside their peers regardless of ability. We believe that early intervention greatly increases the optimal development of young children with disabilities. We believe that ALL children deserve access to high-quality, inclusive services. We believe in evidence-based practices that improve the probability of positive outcomes for young children with special needs. We believe in advocating for our most vulnerable populations, lending our collective voice for change. We believe that with these things, ALL children can make a positive, lasting impact on the world. At DEC, we don’t just believe that it matters. We believe BECAUSE it matters. (And it doesn't hurt that science supports what we believe.)

Data shows that 71–76% of children receiving Part C services demonstrate greater than expected growth across:

Using knowledge and skills

Engaging in Social Relationships

Taking action to meet needs

Our children need us now, more than ever. So, what can you do right now? First and foremost, the rest of the world needs to know! Share the Because it Matters message in your own community and help educate the world with awareness in our mission.
