Student Special Interest Group

The Student Special Interest Group coordinates and collaborates to ensure consistency of direction and action and to facilitate student representation within DEC.   This group encourages student involvement in DEC and encourages undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral level student membership in our organization.  Please click here for more information.

Some examples of activities the Student Special Interest Group is involved with are:

  • Events for students at the DEC Annual Conference including a doctoral student seminar, student poster sessions and Student Activities Committee Meeting.
  • Creation of DEC Facebook and Myspace pages.
  • Posting announcements and information to the DEC Student Discussion Forum.
  • Attending meetings and events and leading discussions on benefits of membership and publication in DEC journals.
