DEC supports full access for young children with special needs and their families to natural settings and service delivery options.

We support professionals who work with or on behalf of infants and young children with special needs and their families by promoting:
a. collaboration and communication among organizations, practitioners and family members;

b. innovations in research and the development of new knowledge;

c. dissemination and use of information about research, resources, best practices and current issues;and

d. professional development through an array of activities and strategies.
