To join DEC, you need to first be a member of the Council for Exceptional Children (CEC). When you join, be sure to sign up for both CEC and our division-the Division for Early Childhood.
The Division for Early Childhood (DEC) is a nonprofit (501(c) 3) organization.
Our mission is to promote polices and advances evidence-based practices that support families and enhance the optimal development of young children who have or are at risk for developmental delays and disabilities. We provide support to those working with or on behalf of young children with disabilities and their families.
DEC’s operating funds come from membership dues and professional development activities; 100% of donations received go to support member-driven initiatives like those listed on the navigation menu at left. Your help and support is very much appreciated!
