Position Statements and Concept Papers

Position Statements are brief, formal expressions that have been developed with input from members, reviewed by Subdivisions, and approved by the Executive Board. These statements are usually one to two pages and address a specific topic or issue.

Concept Papers offer an in-depth discussion of a topic on which DEC has taken a position. Concept Papers provide guidance for implementation and take into account best practice, research, philosophy, and other relevant issues. Concept papers are developed with input from members, reviewed by Subdivisions, and approved by the Executive Board.

Other Papers contain discussions of topics of interest to the field. These papers are developed with input from members and other stakeholders and approved by the Executive Board.
