J. David Sexton Endowment -This fund supports doctoral level research and was created in memory of David Sexton, a DEC President who was dedicated to the improvement of services to young children with disabilities and their families. DEC awards an annual award to a doctoral student whose work continues Dr. Sexton’s legacy and it is our goal to provide a stipend along with this award.
Family Member Conference Stipend - Part of our commitment to including family voices in DEC initiatives is our conference stipend program. This popular program allows parents and other family members to attend the annual international conference at no cost. Your generous contribution can make it possible for a family to receive a complimentary conference registration, gain new insights, and add their voices to our organization.
Subdivision Minigrants - Every year, DEC provides a small grant to our state and provincial Subdivisions to strengthen local DEC activities, bring international initiatives to the local level, and support our members. These grants are made on a competitive basis and your contribution will go directly to supporting the work of our Subdivisions.
Memorials - Please consider remembering a loved one or colleague with a donation to DEC. You may send your memorial donation and ask that it be put to a DEC program or activity or simply request that your donation be applied where it is most needed.
DEC Communicator e-newsletter - This effective and efficient is one of our most popular member benefits. Your support for the newsletter will allow DEC to continue to develop this communication tool, add new technology, solicit expert content, and better meet the needs and expectations of our members.
